Milky Way & Night Photography

One of my favorite subjects to photograph is the Milky Way in rural or wilderness areas where there is a complete absence of light pollution. It is absolutely stunning what the naked eye can see when you venture far away from the intrusive city lights and allow your eyes to adapt fully to the darkness. What’s even more remarkable is what a modern DSLR or mirrorless camera can capture when exposed properly to the night sky. Incredible details, vibrant colors, and intricate shapes are revealed that you could never even begin to know were there otherwise.
